Has anyone gotten a promotional email from windows microsoft live, saying you've one 500,000 pounds?

I just got it and was wondering if i've won it or not, there are a lot of scams out there and i'm quite excited.


I've gotten my hopes up many times just to have them let down, so has anyone gotten the same thing?

It is a scam, anything like that is "to good to be true". What have you "entered" to warrant winning half a million dollars? What is in it for them to give out that kind of money, obviously there is no marketing scheme being done to such a affect, stay far away from it, and just delete the e-mail. People in Nigeria get enough money by stealing as it is.

If you have an email you think is a scam copy a couple of lines from it and past it into google. You will find 1000 of people got the same email.
