How can I make yahoo my default email app under windows xp?
This is what you need to do. This will solve your problem if you will follow the instructions below.

Teach your computer to use Yahoo! Mail.

Using Internet Explorer just click "Continue" on the link below to download a small 60K file that will enable Yahoo! Mail to be the default email program for your computer. Whenever you click on an email address on any web page or in any computer program, Yahoo! Mail will open for you in a new window.

If Internet Explorer displays a yellow security bar at the top, click on it and select Install ActiveX Control from the menu.

If a security warning comes up with Yahoo! Inc. as the publisher, click Install.

Now you can click on an email address anywhere and your computer will automatically open up Yahoo! Mail for you.

You can even send documents directly from Word, Excel, or other Windows applications.

Requirements:

鈥?Windows 95 / 98 / ME / NT / 2000 / XP

鈥?Internet Explorer 4.0 or higher

Reply:Right click on the Internet Explorer than Programs than %26gt;%26gt; Email %26gt;%26gt; Yahoo Mail %26gt;%26gt; Apply
Reply:Open internet explorer, on the top go to TOOLS, then Intenet Options find the program tab then look for email carrier..(if Yahoo isnt there you have to go to yahoo and download yahoo mail then it will show up as an option.
Reply:go up to the 'tools' button and then down to 'properties', once that is open put the whole ''http://www.yahoo.com'' in where the space is under the 'general' tab

that should work no matter who your provider is
